+ Executes management responsibility for Credit operations.
+ Directs policies/procedures, processes and strategic plans for the Credit Departments business units globally.
+ Coordinates, develops and manages the performance of Credit Analysts by defining accountabilities, establishing performance objectives, providing feedback and guidance, and ensuring that all policies are understood and adhered to.
+ Works closely with sales, marketing and financial management to ensure the maximizing of revenue growth for the company while minimizing the financial risk on customer accounts.
+ Evaluates and possesses knowledgeable expertise surrounding credit worthiness, financial statement analysis, cash management and bankruptcy principals.
+ Establishes guidelines and procedures for the departments’ objectives surrounding these criteria.
+ Works closely with Customer Service and Commercial organization to ensure credit limits are within UL risk tolerance bands.
+ Meets and negotiates with customers and account managers to discuss and evaluate credit worthiness, credit issues and improve customer satisfaction within the Finance organization.
+ Implements and manages financial analysis programs/credit scoring models.
+ Lean Six Sigma experience
+ Credit Card acceptance and surcharging experience a big plus
+ Read and follow the Underwriters Laboratories Code of Conduct and follow all physical and digital security practices.
+ Performs other duties as directed.
+ Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting preferred.
Ten (10) years of related experience in Credit management or equivalent combination of education and experience
+ Demonstrated experience with best in practice sophisticated credit scoring models and cutting-edge technology supporting credit scoring models
+ Solid knowledge of legal remedies in credit , including bankruptcy, foreclosures actions, bond claims, remediation, letters of credit and arbitration.
+ Proficient best practices for credit management
+ Ability to use a logical and systematic approach to accurately analyze data, problems, and situations
+ Ability to prepare and present financial management plans and concepts, and influence others
+ C.C.E. a plus
+ Excellent oral and written communication skills
+ Strong leadership skills
+ Computer proficient with MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Project, etc.) required…Oracle experience a plus
