We are seeking an experienced Design & Release (D&R;) Engineer to join our team in Toluca. In this hybrid role, you will take ownership of the design, development, validation, and release of Electrical Distribution Systems (EDS) and wiring harness assemblies from concept through production launch. You will act as the technical liaison between product engineering, manufacturing plants, and Tier-1 suppliers, ensuring that all wiring components meet rigorous functional, packaging, quality, and cost requirements. Key Responsibilities

Design & Development: Lead the 2 D schematic creation and 3 D routing for vehicle wiring harnesses, connectors, terminals, and power distribution components.

Engineering Release: Manage the complete release process of EDS components into production using Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) systems and Bill of Materials (BOM) management.

Change Management: Drive Engineering Change Requests (ECRs)



and Engineering Change Management (ECM) processes, managing part number updates, plant design issues, and supplier change requests.

Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with packaging, advanced manufacturing, safety, and vehicle integration teams to ensure routing feasibility and resolve assembly plant issues.

Validation & Quality: Support validation testing, teardown analysis, and root-cause investigations for pre-production builds and warranty issues. Develop and execute DVP&R; and DFMEA documentation.

Cost & Manufacturability: Work directly with suppliers on Design for Manufacturing (DFM) initiatives and cost-reduction opportunities without sacrificing component quality. #J-18808-Ljbffr
