**About the Role**:

**The Team**: The Index Business Intelligence function delivers research, reporting and insights that drive strategic and commercial decisions.
We track industry trends, competitor activity, and client needs to inform market positioning and drive business growth.
**The Role**: Reporting to the Director of Index Commercial Business Intelligence at S&P; Dow Jones Indices, the analyst will support index market intelligence research by championing data management and analysis, aiding in the production of internal and external reporting, and assisting with strategic integration.
This role plays a critical part in reinforcing the team's value within the index division, S&P; Global and across capital markets.
**Key Responsibilities**:
Support the development and maintenance of an internal analytic reporting suite.
Aid in the process of market landscaping to inform commercial strategy.
Build internal reporting and produce content that communicates our market position.
Contribute to the enhancement of index market scorecards, leadership reporting metrics, and strategic performance updates.
Work across internal functions including sales, index investment strategy, product management, research and finance to transform data into actionable insights.
**Qualifications**:
Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
Proficiency with key financial datasets such as Morningstar, FactSet, eVestment, and Capital IQ Pro is preferred.
Fundamental grasp of equities, fixed income, ETFs, derivatives, and global market structures.
Basic working knowledge of indices and their role in capital markets and performance measurement.
Exceptional analytical skills and attention to detail.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.




Demonstrated interest in and understanding of how Artificial Intelligence (AI) can be applied to data analysis and decision-making.
Experience with Excel, PowerBI, Tableau and Snowflake.
Progress toward a CFA Charter or interest in the program is a plus.
Familiarity with data analysis tools like Python, R, SQL, and VBA is a plus.
