Position Summar y The Senior Accounting Coordinator is responsible for leading and coordinating the company's accounting and tax activities, ensuring compliance with US GAAP, IFRS (NIIF), and Mexican tax regulation s.This position plays a key role in monthly financial closing processes, external and internal audits, tax compliance, financial reporting, internal controls, and continuous improvement initiative s.The role requires strong analytical capabilities, advanced technical accounting knowledge, leadership skills, and the ability to communicate effectively in English with corporate and external stakeholder s.
General Responsibilit ies Coordinate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closing activit ies.Ensure compliance with US GAAP, IFRS (NIIF), and local statutory requireme nts.Lead accounting and tax compliance proces ses.Support internal and external aud its.Analyze financial results, variances, and balance sheet accou nts.Coordinate fixed assets accounting and capital project track ing.Strengthen internal controls and accounting proces ses.Collaborate with corporate finance, operations, purchasing, and external advis ors.Support continuous improvement and automation initiatives within Fina nce.
Qualifica tions Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.Minimum 5–8 years of experience in Accounting an d Tax.Strong knowledge of US GAAP, IFRS (NIIF),
and Mexican tax regula tions.Experience in manufacturing or automotive industry pref erred.Advanced English skills (written and verbal) req uired.Experience working with ERP systems (SAP, QAD, Oracle, Plex, etc.) pref erred.Strong analytical and problem-solving s kills.Advanced Excel skills req uired.Experience coordinating audits and working with external aud itors.High level of integrity, accountability, and attention to d etail.Strong communication and leadership abil ities.
Specific Job Duties Prepare and review monthly journal entries and reconcil iations.Coordinate month-end and year-end closing pr ocesses.Ensure accurate financial statement preparation in compliance with US GAAP a nd IFRS.Prepare and review tax schedules and supporting docume ntation.Coordinate compliance with Mexican tax regulations (SAT, VAT/IVA, income tax, DIOT , etc.).
Support transfer pricing and statutory reporting requi rements.Coordinate external audit requests and provide supporting docume ntation.Review fixed assets records, depreciation schedules, and capitalization policies.
Analyze inventory transactions, cost variances, and manufacturing accounting impacts.Monitor account reconciliations and ensure timely resolution of discre pancies.Support implementation and monitoring of internal c ontrols.Assist in cash flow analysis and treasury-related activities as r equired.Prepare management reports and financial analyses for leadership review.Coordinate compliance with corporate accounting policies and pro cedures.Support ERP improvements and process standardization init iatives.Provide guidance and mentorship to junior accountin g staff.Participate in special projects and ad-hoc financial a nalysis.
