Job details**Employment Type**:Full-Time**Location**:Cienega de Flores, Reciente Leon, Mexico**Job Category**:Supply Chain & Procurement**Job Number**:WD**********Job Description**:Job Description**Job Description**:**RESPONSIBILITY LEVEL**:The Buyer is assigned to a series of items.Is responsible for assuring that the requirements for these purchased items are filled in a proper time and that the material will meet the delivery date to minimize the risk of an inventory stock-out by reviewing the Follow Up on a timely manner.Is also responsible to update purchasing parameters to ensure parts are ordered on time according to the replenishment method, also to maintain mínimal amounts of inventory to meet planned inventory levels according to the company DOH target.
**PRINCIPAL DUTIES**:Analyze MRP demand and replenish stocks timely.Place purchase orders and expedite delivery of materials to assure receipt in accordance with production program requirements.Review open requirements through the Follow Up or Open Order Report and expediting or defer when necessary.Monitor vendor performance through the OTD and assures proper feedback and corrective actions are in place to improve vendor developmentAssure that problems relating to delivery,
pricing and invoicing are promptly conveyed to the vendor and resolved in a timely manner per standard procedures to avoid material shortagesProvide forecast to the specify vendors according to scheduleUpdate purchasing parameters to ensure material availability and optimum stock levelsImplement Material related ProjectsResolve discrepancy problems in a timely mannerExecute PO actions - exception messagesInventory actions, such as disposition for excess and obsolete materialComply with activities specified in JCI Safety Commitment Letter.Participate in Safety Subcommittees and Safety Audits as required.Participate in Risk AssessmentsParticipate in EHS suggestions programParticipate in EHS observations programImplement and maintain security policy, health and environment at work.To support the committees in identifying risks and environmental aspects.Participate in Training program.Identify training needs in safety, health and environment.Train your staff in procedures and instructions.Define corrective and preventive actions.Control system logs in your area.Develop and review procedures and instructions.Intervene personally identify and correct unsafe acts and recognize safe behaviorIdentify and report potential environmental impactsAnalyze and prevent the consequences of all actions before any activity**REQUIREMENTS**:Bachelor's Degree or 3 years exp. in purchasing roleAble to travelFluent English written and spokenLeadership skillsTeam workService attitudeAbility to work under pressureStrong decision-making Communication, analytical and negotiation skillsExperience in a manufacturing planning capacityAbility to read and understand MRP reports, stock status reports, material variance reports, and customer order shortage reportKnowledge in running queries on the AS/400 or equivalent databaseAbility to prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
