We are seeking a Tax Manager for a leading general company in the retail sector.You will be the strategic lead for the tax function in Mexico, ensuring strict regulatory compliance and optimizing the tax burden within a dynamic international environment.Your role will be fundamental in risk mitigation and global financial reporting.Core ResponsibilitiesCompliance Oversight: Supervise and ensure the accurate determination, reconciliation, and filing of all federal and local taxes (provisional payments, monthly and annual returns) for Mexican entities.Tax Recoveries: Lead the process for VAT refund and offset requests, efficiently managing interactions with the SAT (Mexican Tax Authority).
Audit Management: Serve as the primary point of contact for coordinating responses to audits and inquiries from the SAT and external auditors.Transfer Pricing: Oversee compliance with Transfer Pricing regulations, coordinating the annual study for intercompany transactions (inventory purchases, royalties, services).
Regulatory Monitoring: Proactively monitor reforms and changes in Mexican tax legislation, analyzing their impact and developing adaptation strategies.Global Reporting:



Prepare and ensure the accuracy of the Tax Reporting Package for the foreign headquarters, including Deferred Tax calculations under international standards (IFRS/US GAAP).
Process Improvement: Lead automation initiatives and process improvements within the tax department, including optimizing the use of ERP systems (such as SAP).
Candidate ProfileEducation: Bachelor's Degree in Accounting / Public Accounting (CPA equivalent) with a professional license.Professional Experience: +10 years of proven experience in Tax, including experience leading teams.Background: Experience in a Big Four firm or large-scale accounting and consulting firms is highly preferred.Languages: Advanced conversational and professional English proficiency.Systems: Experience and knowledge of SAP (participation in implementations is a plus).
