Design mechanical components and assemblies for Commercial RefrigerationDesign and project manage New Product Development subsystems to ensure design meets performance and agency requirementsSupport and lead process improvements, VAVE and quality improvement effortsEnsure Kysor Warren/EPTA processes are followed, including Stage Gate (Integrated Development Process), Change Notices and other in-house processesWork with cross-functional team to ensure projects are completed on time, including operations, marketing, sales and qualityPrepare design specifications, analyses and recommendations for presentation and approvalTechnical responsibility for planning, organizing and conducting technical projects or phases of projects involving design and developmentProject coordination responsibility of taking designs through the cross functional approval and change implementation from concept to production.Coordinate the efforts of drafters/designers, engineering technicians and machine shop personnel as required by assigned projects.Design and/or redesign products to develop new products, improve performance, and/or reduce cost while meeting regulatory requirements (UL, NSF, DOE)Design products for Manufacturability, Assembly and ReliabilityConduct independent technical investigations involving the origination or modification of materialSupport New Product launches by ensuring design intent is met, providing manufacturing with all documentation and providing hands‐on support.QualificationsRequires a bachelor's degree in engineeringRequires at least 5 years of related Sheet Metal, glass, electro‐mechanical or equivalent design experienceUnderstanding of the practical application of engineering science and technologySolid knowledge of structural design and testingSolid experience with SolidWorks,
SolidEdge or similar CAD softwareMicrosoft Office productsWorking knowledge of SAP or similar MRPRequires knowledge of design techniques, tools, and principles involved in production of precision technical documentation, CAD, BOM, Drawings, Material Data and other technical data.Experience in the HVAC&R; industry is a plusExcellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills in English and SpanishSense of ownership & urgency with projects and work assignmentsExperience working with glass and plastics a plusThis position work closely with the local teams in Queretaro, as well as teams in Columbus and Limana.They will also work cross-functionally with team members from Operations, Sales, Marketing, Finance, Quality and Procurement.This position reports to the R&D; Senior Manager of Case Engineering.Approximately 25% Travel is required as needed, primarily to the US.BenefitsJoin Epta in this permanent role, where you'll experience a great blend of new technologies and a modern workplace culture.We take development opportunities seriously!
