The position will transition to on-site work once the company establishes its local office.Position SummaryThe Compliance Officer will act as the statutory Oficial de Cumplimiento for the SOFOM, ensuring full compliance with Mexican AML/CFT regulations (PLD/FT), LFPIORPI, CNBV, and CONDUSEF requirements.The role will lead the company's compliance framework from the pre-operational stage through ongoing business operations.Key ResponsibilitiesServe as the statutory Compliance Officerfor the SOFOM, ensuring full compliance with AML/CFT (PLD/FT), LFPIORPI, CNBV, and CONDUSEF regulations.Lead the implementation and continuous improvement of the company's compliance framework, including KYC, customer due diligence (CDD), transaction monitoring, sanctions screening, and suspicious activity reporting.Manage all regulatory registrations, filings, and reporting with CNBV and CONDUSEF,



ensuring timely compliance with legal requirements.Develop, maintain, and update compliance policies, the AML Manual, internal controls, and deliver compliance training across the organization.Ensure regulatory readiness during the pre-operational stage and oversee compliance throughout the entire lending lifecycle after launch.Coordinate regulatory inspections, audits, and communications with authorities, while reporting compliance risks and status to the Board of Directors.Collaborate with internal teams, external legal advisors, and regulatory stakeholders to support ongoing compliance initiatives and regulatory changes.QualificationsEducation: Bachelor's degree or higher.Experience: Previous experience serving as a Compliance Officer or in AML/Compliance within a SOFOM, financial institution, fintech, or regulated financial services company.Strong knowledge of:LFPIORPICNBV regulationsCONDUSEF requirementsAML/CFT (PLD/FT)LanguagesFluent English (required).
