**Responsibilities & duties**
- Develop general arrangement and layout drawings including specialized **piping systems**, **pump stations, pumproom or mechanical room layouts & sections**, single Line Diagrams, equipment layout, interconnection drawings, equipment schedules, concrete layouts, structural steelwork and related specialized equipment from PFDs and using auto CAD.
- Perform **material take-offs and develop bills of quantities**, equipment lists, and cost estimates, as required for project deliverables.
- Produce **pipework drawings** including arrangements, sections, and isometrics.
- Designs or redesigns complex layouts and drawings from general written or verbal specifications, using industry standards.
- Works with other team members to obtain reference information for drawings, executing projects on time and on budget.
- High attention to detail and accuracy and a sense of ownership of designs from beginning to end.




- Reviews design layouts to find and resolve problems involving compatibility with basic design concepts.
- Self-motivated and able to function independently with mínimal supervision in a fast-paced team environment.
**SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS**
- University/College Degree or Diploma in Engineering (Mechanical preferred) / Industrial Distribution / Industrial / Technical / Technology/ Mechatronics.
- 3+ years related work experience.
- Proficient in Windows 10, Microsoft office (Outlook, Excel, Word and PowerPoint)
- Knowledge of NFPA Codes and the Building Code.
- Excellent communication, leadership, organization and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple initiatives.
