Brief Description
Regal Rexnord, a leading supplier in the Clutch and Brake industry, is seeking a Manufacturing Engineering Manager reporting to the Plant Manager. This individual will provide superior tactical and strategic thinking to process improvements that drive cost and quality performance while support external and internal customers.
Key Accountabilities
- This is a hands-on manufacturing engineering role with responsibilities for managing a team of engineers as well as performing manufacturing engineering functions
- Responsible for plant layout, designing efficient process and material flows, and implementation of machinery.
- Lead, coach, and mentor Manufacturing Engineering team
- Implement process improvement and new technology to improve mfg cost, improve flow, and reduce the cost of poor quality
- Develop and maintain metrics for Manufacturing Engineering
- Oversee key projects that support the manufacturing processes and processes for new products
- Identify, development, and implement new capital equipment requests for the business that support annual business priorities
- Work with Quality, Manufacturing, and Engineering on troubleshooting problems and developing error proof solutions
- Provide guidance and support during design reviews to address product manufacturing issues: process routings, machining capabilities, etc
- Address quality issues, routing issues, and design changes that could affect manufacturing processes or machines
- Ability to identify, select, and implement new capital equipment into the facility to support business needs.

Job Requirements
Capabilities and Success Factors
- Bachelors Degree in Engineering, Industrial, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering required. Advanced degree a plus
- Must be bi-lingual English/Spanish
- 7+ years of manufacturing engineering experience in mills, lathes, turning, and/or assembly
- 5+ years experience in leadership
- 3+ years of hands-on support of greenfield/line move experience including build up of direct staff for support of long term production.
- 3+ years in project management capabilities from idea generation to implementation, preferred
- 3+ years with ERP systems - manufacturing functions
