**Role Accountabilities**
We are seeking an experienced and passionate English language teacher to join our team, committed to delivering high-quality lessons that cater to diverse learning needs and modes of instruction. This role demands strong pedagogical expertise and adherence to British Council Integral Teaching Standards to ensure that learners receive exceptional education while meeting organisational expectations.
As part of our teaching centre, you will contribute to the development, evaluation, and improvement of English language courses and materials, actively engaging with fellow educators in staff meetings to enhance teaching quality. Your involvement will extend beyond the classroom, supporting marketing efforts, assisting students through excellent customer service,



and completing administrative responsibilities to maintain professional standards.
Building strong relationships with students and colleagues is essential, alongside fostering cultural understanding by introducing learners to the UK’s values and encouraging inter-cultural interactions. Compliance with safeguarding, data protection, health and safety, and equality policies is paramount in ensuring an inclusive and respectful learning environment.

**Qualifications & Experience**
**Essentials**
- Undergraduate degree.
- Certificate in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (CELTA) or Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL) certification.
- A minimum of 2 years post-certificate i.e. CELTA/Trinity cert TESOL experience gained from teaching a variety of age groups and levels from young learners through to adults.
**Desirables**
- Recognised diploma in English as a Foreign Language (EFL) i.e. Diploma in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (DELTA).
- Teaching Young Learners Extension Certificate (TYLEC).




- Bachelor of Education Degree Programme in Primary Education or Post-Graduate Certificate in Education (PGCE).Experience in line management and delivering training sessions, demonstrating strong leadership and the ability to support and develop team members effectively.
**Important Information**:
- **Language requirements**:Proficiency in English equivalent to a Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR) C2 level.
- **Location**:Mexico City - Teaching Centre in Polanco.
- **Hourly salary**:418MXN (CELTA qualified) and 440MXN (DELTA qualified).
- **Working Hours**:Classes are offered from 07.00 a.m. to 9.30 p.m. Monday to Friday, and 08.00 a.m. to 7.30 p.m. on Saturdays. This role may require mornings and/or evenings, and Saturday work. Every effort is made to reduce split shifts.
