What will your day be like at ACPS Automotive Qro as a Prototype Engineer?
**Job Authority**:
Stop any activity and/or operation that entails a safety risk for the product and/or to any aspect of the organization, notifying inmediately the related areas according to the company escalation plan.
**Responsibilities**:
- **Execution and analysis of the durability tests required during the product lifecycle** (design verification, process verification, requalification, etc.)
- **Adapt and optimize the testing methodology, together with the product development engineers**, to detect possible deficiencies or to reduce the scope of the validation at the early stages.
- **Agree on the scope of the validation with the product development teams, customers, suppliers, and service providers.**:
- **Review, together with the project teams, both the customer-specific requirements and the internal requirements (specifications)** to ensure that the test execution and test specifications are optimized for each test and each project.
- **Document the testing planning and results in the PLM database.**:




- **Continuous improvement of the ACPS testing methods** in terms of "early fatigue resistance detection," testing execution time reduction, cost optimization per test, report simplification, and internal standards enforcement.
- **Analytically assess the individual as well as the global test results.** Based on the assessment, work together with the product development teams to continuously adapt and optimize the content of the tests, the testing methods, and the design of the components.
- **Get actively involved in the release evaluation (validation release) during the different project phases.**:
- **Coordinate the performance of the test benches, and prepare the technical documentation** that describes the procedures, processes, and continuous improvement activities for each bench.
- **Keep in contact with suppliers and production plants** to ensure the proper functioning of the tests and the "state of the art" in each one.
- **Enforce compliance with all applicable security and protection standards** (e.g., noise area, safety shoes usage requirement, hazardous substances) to prevent personal and material damage.

**Admission Profile**:
- **Academic degree**:
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Mechatronic, Metallurgical Engineering, or similar
**Knowledge in**:
- Fatigue tests at component level, mainly on steel-based components.
- Installation and operation of servohydraulic test benches.
- Test planning and evaluation.
- Details of the automotive industry and/or the suppliers of the automotive industry.
- Ferrous materials relevant to ACPS products.
- Manufacturing processes (forging, welding, forming, assembly, among others).
