As a **Lead Safety & Risk Engineer (Process),** you will provide risk safety and loss prevention services to an internal Worley business unit or external clients.
To succeed in this role, you should have experience in design/operations support related to the oil & gas production and processing industries, conceptual, FEED, and detailed design in the Oil & Gas Industry.

**What you’ll do**
We are looking for a Lead Safety & Risk Engineer (Process)
to join our team in Bangkok Office, Thailand
The role responsibilities include:
- To be responsible to the performance of projects assigned to both in terms of technical capability and also commercial performance of the project.
- Hazard and Risk Management.
- To identify the safety engineering scope of work from basis of design.
- To be able to raise a suite of project deliverables including procedures, design basis and execution plan & schedules of activities.
- To take ownership of and provide direction to engineers through ability to prepare and author full suite of project safety deliverables.
- To provide definition of the engineering work in the Project, design approach or criteria by skill and experience as directed by the Lead Discipline Engineer
**What you’ll have**
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering or related field.
- Minimum 10-15 years of experience in risk, safety, and loss prevention engineering.
- Accredited HAZOP Chairman and SIL Assessor (preferred).
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in relevant safety and risk software tools and databases.
- Working knowledge of safety & risk engineering as found in Upstream Hydrocarbon projects (e.g., WHP, CPP, FPSO, Subsea Pipelines) and Downstream Hydrocarbon projects (e.g., Oil & Gas, Refineries, Petrochemicals, Pipelines).
- Good knowledge of safety & risk design methods and inter-discipline dependencies & information flows
- Technical Expertise is outlined below:
Ø Hazard and Risk Management.
Ø Identifying the safety engineering scope of work based on the Terms of Reference (TOR).
Ø Determining and estimating the norms required to conduct the scope of work.
Ø Preparing a suite of project deliverables, including procedures, design basis, execution plans, and activity schedules.
Ø Networking with inter-disciplinary departments and managing client interfaces.
Ø Conducting HAZID workshops.
Ø Leading HAZOP workshops.
Ø Loss Prevention-related studies.
Ø Formal Safety Assessments.
Ø Safety Critical Elements and Performance Standards.
Ø Quantitative Risk Assessment (QRA).
Ø Safety Case development.
Ø Reliability Studies, including FMEA and RAM.
Ø Conducting SIL Classification workshops.
Ø Defining Design Requirements for Safety Systems.
Ø Conducting Design Safety Reviews and Studies, including Layout, EERA, ESSA, F&G;, Dropped Object, and Hazardous Area assessments.
Ø Active Fire Protection Design.
Ø Passive Fire Protection Design.
Ø Identifying and preparing project procedures and deliverables
Ø CTR management, progress reporting, and estimation of work scopes and CTRs.
Ø Taking ownership and providing direction to engineers by preparing and authoring the full suite of project safety deliverables.
Ø Managing a team of professional and technical personnel.
Ø Mentoring graduates, technicians, and technical specialists.
Ø Quality Assurance, Responsible for working within the provisions and guidelines of the Quality Assurance system relevant to the Safety & Risk Department.
