Nexus Tours | Cancún, Quintana Roo, México (On-site)

Where careers in tourism are built.

At Nexus Tours, we're looking for a strategic, commercially driven, and tech-savvy professional to lead our general supplier connectivity strategy, expanding our distribution network and strengthening partnerships with key tourism providers and technology partners.

This role combines business development, supplier negotiations, distribution strategy, and technology integration to accelerate the digital transformation of our product ecosystem.

Your impact

As our Strategic Supplier Connectivity & Distribution Manager, you will define and execute the general connectivity strategy with tourism suppliers, building strategic partnerships that increase connected inventory, improve automation, and enhance the scalability of our product distribution across multiple markets.

You'll act as the bridge between business and technology, ensuring that commercial opportunities become successful technical integrations.

What you'll do

- Lead the global strategy for supplier connectivity and product distribution.
- Identify, evaluate, negotiate, and onboard new strategic suppliers and technology partners.
- Build and maintain long-term relationships with hotels, activity providers, DMCs, channel managers, and connectivity partners.
- Lead commercial and technical discussions throughout the entire supplier onboarding lifecycle.
- Coordinate XML, API, Channel Manager and other connectivity implementations with internal Technology teams and external partners.
- Drive initiatives to expand connected inventory while improving product quality and availability.
- Collaborate with Product, Commercial, Technology and Operations teams to prioritize strategic integrations.
- Analyze supplier performance, connectivity KPIs and market opportunities to optimize the connected portfolio.
- Lead cross-functional international projects involving multiple stakeholders and business units.

- Promote automation initiatives that improve operational efficiency and reduce manual processes.

How success is measured

- Growth of connected supplier portfolio.
- Increase in connected product availability across destinations.
- Time-to-market for new supplier integrations.
- Improvement in supplier connectivity performance and data quality.
- Reduction of connectivity-related incidents.
- Successful delivery of the strategic connectivity roadmap.
- Commercial value generated through new supplier partnerships.
- Supplier satisfaction and relationship health.

What we're looking for

- Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Information Systems, Tourism or related field.
- 5+ years of experience in Supplier Connectivity, Distribution, Product Technology, Strategic Partnerships or Business Development within the travel industry.
- Proven experience leading commercial negotiations with tourism suppliers, hotel chains, DMCs, activity providers, channel managers or technology partners.
- Demonstrated ability to develop strategic supplier relationships from prospecting through contracting and implementation.
- Strong understanding of APIs, XML, Channel Managers, connectivity platforms and travel distribution ecosystems.
- Experience managing international projects involving cross-functional teams.
- Advanced English (mandatory).
- Excellent negotiation, communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Strong analytical mindset with a passion for automation, digital transformation and continuous improvement.

⭐ What will make you stand out

- Previous experience in Travel Tech, OTAs, DMCs, bedbanks, channel managers or tourism distribution platforms.
- Experience participating in international industry events, supplier negotiations or strategic partnership development.
- Knowledge of travel distribution standards and connectivity platforms.
- Ability to balance technical understanding with commercial decision-making.

What we offer

- Career growth within a leading international tourism organization.
- Global exposure across multiple markets and international partners.
- Participation in high-impact digital transformation initiatives.
- Direct collaboration with senior leaders across Product, Technology and Commercial areas.
- Competitive compensation package.
- The opportunity to shape the future of supplier connectivity and distribution at Nexus Tours.

⚠️ This role isn't for you if...

- You prefer operational or repetitive work over strategic initiatives.
- You're comfortable only with the technical side and not with commercial negotiations.
- You don't enjoy building long-term business relationships.
- You prefer working independently rather than collaborating across international teams.
- You aren't interested in driving digital transformation through technology and partnerships.

Why this opportunity?

Because you'll play a key role in transforming the way Nexus Tours connects with tourism suppliers around the world. You'll combine technology, business development and strategic partnerships to build a smarter, more connected, and scalable distribution ecosystem that will power the company's future growth.

At Nexus Tours, we celebrate diversity, equity and inclusion. We welcome talented professionals from all backgrounds, regardless of gender, age, ethnicity, disability, sexual orientation, gender identity or any other characteristic protected by law.
