The HIL Test Engineer is responsible for designing, executing, and maintaining Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) test systems to validate embedded control systems, primarily in automotive, aerospace, or industrial applications.
This role ensures that software and hardware components function correctly under simulated real-world conditions.Key Responsibilities- Develop, configure, and maintain HIL test benches and simulation environments- Design and execute test cases for embedded systems and control algorithms- Integrate real-time simulation models (e.G., plant models) into HIL systems- Automate test scripts using tools such as Python, MATLAB/Simulink, or CAPL- Perform validation of ECUs (Electronic Control Units) under various operating scenarios- Analyze test results, identify defects, and support root cause analysis- Collaborate with software, hardware,
