Social Media Manager & Content Creator Company: Calavera New York Location: Guadalajara, Jalisco, Mexico (Mostly Remote) Employment Type: Full-Time Contractor Compensation: 35,000 MXN / month (Paid in Advance) About Calavera New York Calavera New York is an innovative and fast growing diamond and jewelry e-commerce brand. We are looking for an outgoing, creative, and highly fluent Social Media Manager based in the Guadalajara area to be the digital voice and face of our company.

The Role

This is a mostly remote contractor position, with occasional business travel and in-person meetups for video shoots. Content creation is a massive part of this role, you must be highly comfortable on camera, talking about luxury products, and engaging with our audience. ⚠️ Mandatory Requirement (Please Read carefully) - C1/C2 Advanced English Proficiency: This is completely non-negotiable. You must have near-native written and spoken English fluency to communicate effectively with our US-based audience.

This will be assessed during the interview process.

Key Responsibilities - On-Camera Content Creation: Pitch, film, and star in engaging video content for our social platforms (TikTok, Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts).

- Platform Management: Upload, schedule, and optimize daily posts across multiple social media platforms.
- Ad Management: Set up ad creatives and manage the digital assets for our marketing campaigns.
- Community Engagement: Actively manage and respond to comments on both organic posts and paid ads, as well as reply to customer reviews across the web.




- Live Auctions: Occasionally host live diamond and jewelry auctions on platforms like TikTok and Whatnot.
- Platform Expansion: Assess, build, and manage our brand presence on alternative platforms, particularly Reddit.
- Copywriting: Write compelling, on-brand blog posts for our e-commerce website.

Preferred Qualifications While your English proficiency and comfort on camera are the most critical factors, the idóneo candidate will also have:

- Experience or education in digital advertising and marketing.
- A background, passion, or strong interest in the diamond and fine jewelry industry.
- A strong portfolio demonstrating past success in content creation and social media growth.
- Proficiency in graphic design tools, specifically Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop.
- Visa Eligibility: Eligibility to obtain a US B1/B2 Tourist/Business Visa for occasional business travel. (Note: Calavera New York will pay for all costs and fees associated with obtaining this visa).
