Key Responsibilities

- Lead the Mexico Global Trade Compliance team and provide strategic direction for compliance activities.
- Monitor regulatory and legislative changes, updating policies, procedures, and controls to ensure compliance.
- Ensure compliance with import/export regulations, customs requirements, and Free Trade Agreements (FTAs).
- Partner with Global Trade Compliance teams to standardize processes, tariff classifications, and trade programs.
- Communicate regulatory changes and compliance risks to senior leadership.
- Lead customs audits, government inquiries, and ensure audit readiness through proper documentation.
- Manage relationships with customs brokers, freight forwarders, government agencies, and external advisors.
- Oversee tariff classification, country of origin, customs valuation, and other trade compliance requirements.
- Develop and improve trade compliance policies, internal controls, training, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Collaborate with Supply Chain, Logistics, Procurement, Manufacturing, Finance, Legal, and Commercial teams to support compliant global operations.

Minimum Qualifications

- Bachelor’s degree in International Business, Supply Chain, Logistics, Business Administration, Law, Engineering, Finance, or a related field.
- 7+ years of experience in Trade Compliance, Customs, Import/Export, or International Trade.
- Leadership experience managing trade compliance activities or teams.
- Strong knowledge of customs regulations, tariff classification, country of origin, valuation, and Free Trade Agreements.




- Experience working with customs brokers, government agencies, and regulatory audits.
- Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Advanced English proficiency.

Preferred Qualifications

- Master’s degree in a related field.
- Trade compliance certifications (Licensed Customs Broker, CCS, CUSECO, or equivalent).
- Experience supporting multinational manufacturing operations.
- Knowledge of SAP or other ERP systems.
