VOLCANIX AUTOMATION is seeking experienced Controls & Robotics Engineers with strong BIW (Body-in-White) background to support automotive projects across North America, primarily with General Motors and other OEMs.This role involves working on automotive body shop systems, including robotic welding cells, framing stations, and high-speed automated lines. Candidates must be comfortable working on-site in demanding production environments and supporting launches, integrations, and troubleshooting activities.ResponsibilitiesProgram, troubleshoot, and optimize PLC systems (Allen-Bradley, Siemens)Program and integrate industrial robots inBIW applications (spot welding, handling, sealing)Commission and debugbody shop equipment and robotic cellsSupport production launches, cycle time improvements, and downtime reductionIntegrate robots with PLC-controlled systems and safety devicesWork with welding systems (spot welding, projection welding, stud welding)Perform system validation, buy-offs, and customer acceptance testsTroubleshoot electrical, controls, and robotic issues on-siteCollaborate with controls,
