Eaton's Corporate Sector division is currently seeking a Financial Analyst.
Eaton announced, on June 11, 2026, the intent to combine its Mobility Group (including both the Vehicle and eMobility segments) with a new company. We expect to complete this process by the end of the first half of 2027. The compensation and benefits that will initially be offered for this position are based on Eaton's plans, programs and practices. If you are offered and accept this position and are actively employed by the Mobility Group when the transaction closes, the new company will provide further details to employees concerning compensation and benefits at that time.
What you'll do
This role is in Record to Report Process in a fast‐paced, high‐volume SSC environment that supports Eaton's general business and operations that use ORACLE/SAP applications for financial accounting and reporting. The position is responsible for a variety of finance and accounting activities (such as reconciliations, intercompany, fixed asset accounting, and period close activities) with a high degree of efficiency and quality for Eaton business units. It manages multiple Record to Report activities while fostering process improvements and continuous learning, and it manages key production metrics and quality audits.
Job Responsibilities
- Driving customer satisfaction by ensuring Record to Report activities are performed as per customer expectations and service level agreements.
- Driving customer experience in adopting a solution‐oriented approach to achieve key SLAs and customer requirements.
- Processing project accounting and fixed asset related transactions while adhering to strict compliance with company policies, and addressing and guiding business units on capex/fixed‐asset related queries.
- Expertise required in fixed asset processes, knowledge of end‐to‐end fixed asset lifecycle, good understanding of capital spend analysis, preparation of reconciliations in standard format, and asset accounting in Oracle & SAP ERP.
- Financial analysis skills – ability to analyze financial data, including CAPEX and OPEX.
- Project management – tracking project progress, managing budgets, and ensuring timely capitalization of assets.
- Attention to detail – ensuring accuracy in financial reporting and identifying discrepancies in data.
- Experience in transitioning and stabilizing processes would be preferable.
- In‐depth knowledge of GL activities like balance sheet reconciliations, intercompany, netting, hedge, fixed asset accounting, and journal entries.
- Ensuring smooth month‐end close activities/processes.
- Supporting end‐to‐end processes with a good understanding of system touch points.
- Responsible for in‐depth functional & business process knowledge.
- Working in partnership with RTR CoEs and other GFSS workstreams on improving process results and processes.
Qualifications
- Education level required: Accounting Degree.
- Years and area of experience required: 4‐6 years of related experience in varied accounting, finance, or information systems roles.
- Technical knowledge: Either SAP (ECC & S4), Oracle R12, or a combination of ERP knowledge is mandatory.
