Payroll Specialist – North America

Position Summary
Responsibilities

Process full-cycle bi-weekly payroll (for salaried and hourly employees) for the US entity

Review payroll transactions entered into the system including new hires, terminations and salary increases





Calculate termination payments and manual payroll adjustments and enter one time payments into the system

Communicate with the HR department and other internal stakeholders to ensure pay and employee records are accurate and up-to-date

Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll, payslips, and deductions.

Participate in year end payroll activities, including W-2 preparation

Participate in other special projects as needed

Willingness to learn other country payrolls as the company grows

Qualifications

Minimum 3 years’ experience in payroll

General knowledge of US taxes, payroll legislation and basic accounting principles

ADP Workforce Now experience is an asset

Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously

High degree of ownership, independence, and decision-making skills

Experience working in a multi-site environment and international operations is an asset

Solid communication skills and ability to work with internal and external partners

Ability to maintain confidentiality and extreme discretion

Ability to meet strict, fast-paced deadlines

Strong attention to detail
