QualificationsAccounting / Finance or related degree.Chartered Accountant or MBA is a plus.15 or more years of experience with increased responsibilities in accounting and/or financial areas.Experience leading a stand‐alone business location with full P&L; and balance sheet accountabilities, commercial negotiations, treasury and tax.Budget and 5‐year business planning experience including revenue, cost, cash flow.Ability to articulate financial and business information clearly and in English.Detailed knowledge of US GAAP and Mexican Statutory principles, regulations and best practices.Highly organized with keen attention to detail; ability to manage projects across business functions.Proven ability to achieve results through collaboration and partnership while driving accountability through the organization.Continuous improvement mindset promoting a positive, can‐do, solutions‐oriented approach.Proficiency in data analysis, critical thinking and problem‐solving.Proficiency in basic office and accounting software programs.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; unwavering ethics.Proficiency in SAP, HFM, OneStream is required.ResponsibilitiesPresent the monthly financial results, full year forecast outlook and key variances to local and BU stakeholders; hold the Reporting Unit leadership team accountable to budget targets and drive closure on performance gaps impacting sales, operating income, and performance free cash flow.Lead the monthly RU earnings call process with BU leadership; articulate results in English with clear explanations for the causes of revenue, operating income, and cash flow variances.Oversee preparation of financial schedules to Business Unit and Corporate standards.Oversee Finance Department activities through the Assistant Controller, including inventories, accounts receivable, accounts payable, treasury, costing, fixed assets and taxes.Lead the annual preparation of the Budget and Long‐Range Plan for the RU; work across the RU functions to develop cost centre budgets aligning with BU targets for sales,
operating income and cash flow.Maintain the local accounting system, ensuring controls over accurate financial reporting are effective; monitor vendor and customer data integrity; maintain automated systems and controls around local statutory reporting, including electronic billings to federal government systems.Sustain Sarbanes‐Oxley (SOX) ICFR internal controls, adhering strictly to corporate policies, US GAAP and Mexican statutory accounting principles, and legal requirements; coordinate timely closure of internal control audit deficiencies across local Finance or other Reporting Unit functions.Lead financial modelling of new business quotations; gather key assumptions around revenue, cost, investments and other cash‐flow factors; present the outcome of different quote options against the company's internal hurdle rates (ROI, AOM%).
Contribute to the business case development for corporate approval of new investments (e.g., Appropriation Request); ensure controls over capex spending related to new programs.Gather financial data required for commercial negotiations around inflation, tariffs, volume claims; present data to the Plant Manager and Sales team clearly and concisely; facilitate compilation of evidence clearly articulating claims to customers.Ensure Mexican statutory compliance for the Reporting Unit, including timely submission of income tax returns, tax payments and VAT returns; oversee collection of VAT refunds; submit quarterly data to the company's general tax team for US GAAP reporting and participate in the annual soft close to estimate year‐end tax provisions in compliance with ASC 740 and ASC 450.Support any tax audits, investigations or other requests from external advisors.Ensure local logistics team maintains IMMEX requirements, VAT certifications and compliance with obligations thereof.Oversee the annual validation of SAP core business data and IMMEX Annex 24 software, including checking scrap, bill of material, annual physical inventory valuation; ensure that the annual US customs value reconciliation process is completed for toll manufacturers.
