WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING
Ensure the supply of direct and indirect materials in terms of price, credit, delivery and level of service.
Develop and create systems and / or filters to ensure timely supply at the correct inventory levels according to business needs and guidelines.
Design and implement the methods of national and international transportation of supplies, machinery and equipment from suppliers to MEQ, in the most efficient way in quality, time and cost; respecting the regulations in terms of foreign trade, transport and of the international organizations applicable in the transport of those materials.
The Logistics Materials Manager will have a direct impact on our business, responsible for:
·Manage the supply chain to ensure the availability and flow of materials from suppliers to the production line
·Establish inventory control procedures to ensure inventory levels, without affecting 95% of customer service level
·Ensure that the developments and transitions of materials to new suppliers take place in the established times.
·Ensure contracts with service providers and negotiate annual agreements with consumables providers
·Designs the most efficient routes and transportation methods for the transit of raw materials and plant products (MEQ).
·Selects and audits the processes of the transport service providers (Forwarders), national and international; based on Crane Corporate General policies.
·Develop new processes and routes to obtain benefits in transit time and freight savings (productivity projects)
·Participate in NPI processes to design a logistics plan for new products
·Supervises and audits the performance of national and international transport service providers.
·Promote continuous improvement of logistics, import and export processes.
WHO WE’RE LOOKING FOR
Qualifications and Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in International Trade, Industrial Engineering or equivalent
- English level: Advanced
- Experience in:
- Desirable 4 years conducting negotiations with suppliers
- Desirable 3 years in lean manufacturing tools
- Desirable 5 years purchase of materials in manufacturing company
- Desirable 3 years handling international logistics.
- Desirable 5 years in operation of industrial plants
- Desirable knowledge: APICS, Project Management, Contract Review (responsibility and scope)
