Position SummaryWe are seeking a detail-oriented, patient-oriented Outbound Referral Coordinator to join our busy orthopedic practice.In this role, you will manage outgoing referrals and specialty appointments, ensuring patients experience seamless continuity of care from our practice to their next provider.The idóneo candidate brings strong organizational skills, clear communication, and a working knowledge of medical referral processes.Key ResponsibilitiesProcess and coordinate outgoing referrals to specialists, imaging centers, physical therapy providers, and ancillary healthcare servicesKeep patients informed of referral status, scheduling requirements, and necessary documentationVerify insurance eligibility and confirm referral authorization requirements prior to submissionBuild and maintain an up-to-date directory of providers and facilities accepting Medicaid and other insurance plansResearch in-network providers to guide patients toward appropriate referral placements and uninterrupted careDocument all referral activity accurately within the electronic medical record (EMR) systemPartner with physicians, medical assistants,
