As a Senior Research and Development Chemist, you will develop water-based architectural coatings formulations.You will ensure competitiveness in cost, performance, and quality, and provide technical support to manufacturing plants.This support will ensure operational continuity and compliance with safety standards.You will report to Supervisor S&T; Product Development.ResponsibilitiesReduce formulation costs while ensuring compliance with quality, performance, and delivery timelines.Ensure continuity of manufacturing operations.Adjust non-conforming batches.Update formulas and technical specifications.Accomplish new product and process development projects.Improve existing formulations to improve efficiency.Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring you meet goals and timelines.Provide technical support to plants in Mexico and Panama.Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.QualificationsBachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or related field.Preferred: Master's degree in Chemical Engineering, Polymers, Materials, or a related field.More than 6 years of experience in paint formulation/development (Bachelor's level).
