Summary
Core Molding Technologies is hiring a Junior Financial Analyst to support plant financial operations, cost analysis, and reporting activities within a manufacturing environment.
This role partners closely with Operations, Engineering, Supply Chain, and Finance teams to support standard costing, inventory analysis, financial reporting, and operational performance tracking.
The Junior Financial Analyst will assist with month‐end close activities, costing analysis, and continuous improvement initiatives that support plant performance and profitability.
Key Responsibilities
Assist with maintaining standard cost structures including material, labor, and overhead rates
Support BOM creation, routing validation, and ERP system updates
Assist with standard cost updates and cost roll activities
Analyze manufacturing variances including PPV, labor, overhead, and usage variances
Support monthly financial reporting, dashboards, and KPI tracking
Assist with month‐end close activities including journal entries, accruals, and analysis
Monitor inventory transactions and support inventory accuracy initiatives
Participate in physical inventory counts and reconciliation activities
Track scrap, production efficiency, and operational performance metrics
Support profitability analysis by product, customer, and process
Maintain costing and financial master data within ERP systems
Support internal and external audit requests related to costing and inventory
Collaborate with Operations and Engineering teams to identify cost reduction opportunities
Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities




Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Industrial Engineering, or related field
1–3 years of experience in financial analysis, cost accounting, or manufacturing finance preferred
Internship, co‐op, or manufacturing finance experience is a plus
Basic understanding of standard costing and variance analysis
Familiarity with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, Plex, AS400/CMS, or similar) preferred
Advanced Excel skills preferred (pivot tables, lookups, reporting, data analysis)
Strong analytical, organizational, and problem‐solving skills
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Bilingual English/Spanish required
Preferred
Experience in manufacturing, plastics, or injection molding environments
Exposure to inventory controls, BOMs, routings, or manufacturing processes
Familiarity with Power BI or data visualization tools
Experience supporting month‐end close or financial reporting activities
