and takes ownership of collection outcomes rather than just processing transactions.ResponsibilitiesOwn end-to-end billing execution for an ABA/behavioral health claims portfolioSubmit, track, and follow up on claims across multiple state Medicaid systemsResearch and apply payor-specific billing requirements to ensure clean claim submissionMaintain a minimum monthly (ideally weekly) touchpoint on all outstanding claims aged 30+ daysWork all denied claims within 1 week of denialWork all rejected claims within 2 business days of rejectionMaintain a claim collection rate above 90%, with a target of 95%Flag systemic billing or payor issues proactively rather than waiting to be askedQualifications3–6 years of medical billing experience, with hands-on ABA billing experience strongly preferred (borderline required)Experience billing Medicaid across a variety of statesStrong self-research skills — able to identify correct payor requirements independently before escalatingComfortable working in a fast-paced, high-accountability, deadline-driven environmentBilling certifications a plus but not requiredHIPP experience is a huge bonusHands-on experience with:Central Reach (most common platform used — strong plus)Multi-state Medicaid billing systemsClaims denial/rejection management and appeals workflowsPayor portal research and compliance documentation
