Eaton’s IS VEH EMB division is currently seeking a Sr Buyer.
**What you’ll do**:
Procurement of various goods and services in order to meet plant goals of OTD, DOH, Productivity and Schedule attaintment
**Job Responsibilities and authority**:
- Maintain communication and updates with internal customers regarding material availability and risks
- Follow up with Sourcing team in cost out projects
- Communicate and coordinate with product line supervisors/leaders and purchasing teams to ensure schedule attainment and recovery if required
- Root cause analysis of materials delays and implement improvement actions for Suppliers OTD
- Planning and ordering the necessary materials following ERP system
- Maintain inventory levels of materials in accordance with the objectives set monthly.
- Expedite overdue materials to prevent the lack of raw material
- Escalations using plant tools such us GPS (shortages) and SPIR (price changes)
- Have direct communication with suppliers regarding material usage as per forecast
- Follow up on MRB and create corrective action plans
- Troubleshooting problem bills to pay our suppliers, avoiding the suspension of our credit
- Inventory analysis to provide inventory reductions actions
- Provide the necessary support to production to achieve finished product goals




- Procure materials following plant and coorporate regulations (QA, SCM)

**Qualifications**:
**Education level required**:
- Bachelor Degree.
- APICS preferred
**Years and area of experience required**:
- 3-5 years in similar position with electronic components and or automotive industries
**Skills**:
**Competencies required**:
- Problem Solving Tools (A3, PDCA, 5WHY's, etc.)
- ERP/MRP System (SAP)
- Bilingual (English/Spanish)
- Experience in Electronics or Automotive industry
- Experience in raw material purchasing
**Soft skills**:
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Understanding of key financial metrics.
- Strong analytical/problem solving skills working with other functions.
- Strong negotiation skills.
