**Mechanical Design Engineer I**
As a Mechanical Design Engineer I here at Honeywell, you will be responsible for the design and development of mechanical systems and components for Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). You will work closely with a team of engineers to ensure the continuous improvement and sustainability of our PPE products. Your expertise in mechanical design principles and knowledge of PPE standards and regulations will be essential in ensuring the safety and effectiveness of our products. You will report directly to our Sr R&D; Supervisor and you'll work out of our Mexico City location on a hybrid work schedule. In this role, you will impact Honeywell by contributing to the development of innovative PPE solutions that protect and enhance the safety of our customers. Your attention to detail and problem-solving skills will be crucial in identifying and resolving design issues and improving product performance. **KEY RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Collaborate with a team of engineers to design and develop mechanical systems and components for PPE
- Ensure compliance with PPE standards and regulations in the design and development process
- Conduct analysis and simulations to ensure product performance and reliability
- Identify and implement design improvements for existing PPE products
- Participate in design reviews and provide feedback and recommendations
**YOU MUST HAVE**
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
- Knowledge of mechanical **design principles and methodologies**
- **Proficiency in CAD software such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or CATIA**
- Excellent **problem-solving methodologies and analytical skills**
- Knowledge of **APQP process, PPAS, FMAS**
- **Travel availability**
