**PRODUCTION PLANNER**

Responsible for updating the backlog, analyzing demands, and validating inventories to schedule production orders according to production line capacity. Coordinate with Purchasing for the acquisition of components in case of material shortages and maintain communication with key areas such as: Production Floor, Master Production Scheduler (MPS), Inventories, Traffic, and Quality Control, reporting to the Production Planning Supervisor.
**ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Update the backlog report daily
- Work all new bookings the same day
- Avoid late SO shipments through daily follow-up in manufacturing meetings
- Plan and control work order releases
- Release work orders on time
- Release work orders to manufacturing with no material shortages
- Meet sales order due dates
- Firm up MRP planned order suggestions
- Determine production lead time for quotes
- Determine capacity planning
- Determine and monitor the load based on current capacity
- Determine production time for sales orders
- Balance production capacity and order load
- Enter work orders into the system
- Monitor times, materials, and operations in specific work orders within the system
- Verify and follow up on work orders
- Perform forward or backward scheduling of work orders




- Knowledge of infinite and finite loading on production lines for work order scheduling
- Capacity planning for production lines
- Balance production line Capacity and Load
- Interact with Purchasing, Quality Control, Inventory, Production Floor, Traffic, and all required company departments
**EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE**
- Bachelor's degree / or Industrial Engineering.
- **3 to 6** **years of experience** in production planning processes and terminology.
- CPIM certification / APICS (desirable)
**SKILLS**
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office.
- Knowledge of MRP/ERP.
- Highly proficient in spoken and written English
- Communication.
- Problem analysis and resolution.
- Organizational skills.
**SALARY & BENEFITS**:
Salario mensual nominal:
**$28,000 - $32,000 según experiência**
