Objective of the Position:

The Credit and Collection Attorney is responsible for developing and managing a comprehensive credit and collections program to optimize KWS’s cash flow and finances. The role involves assessing credit risks, analyzing client financial situations, setting credit terms, working with sales and customers to ensure timely payments, designing and implementing processes that increase cash flow efficiency, monitoring past‑due accounts, negotiating collections, and identifying collection opportunities through legal expertise. The attorney also ensures that KWS’s credit and collection policies are followed by sales representatives and customer service teams.

Education:

- Bachelor’s degree in law.
- Expertise in administrative, extrajudicial and judicial collections.
- Financial knowledge to analyze a client’s financial situation to determine credit limits in Mexico (analysis of financial, balance, cash flow and equity statements, liquidity and operating margin).

Experience and Training:

- At least 3 years of experience as a credit and collections manager, with leadership training.
- Experience with Mexican commercial and civil law.
- Experience in litigation management, arbitration, and mediation.
- Proven experience in credit recovery, dispute resolution, and compliance with legal procedures.
- Ability to analyze and create contracts, agreements, promissory notes, purchase orders, and other credit and collection documents.
- Experience collaborating with public notaries, banks, financial credit insurance, and attorneys to carry out collections.

Knowledge,



Capacity and Skills:

- Provide continuous legal counsel to internal stakeholders and professional support to external clients.
- Handle and organize information with accuracy and detail.
- Proficient in collection and negotiation skills.
- Excellent oral and written communication.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
- Read, analyze, and interpret changes in Mexican commercial, civil, and fiscal laws and regulations, official gazette, and business information.
- Present information publicly, answer questions about current AR status.
- Excellent organizational and time‑management skills.
- Work independently and as part of a team.
- Proactively analyze and manage customer receivables within due dates.
- Travel throughout Mexican territory to carry out collection activities.
- Fluency in English preferred.
