GM Financial International Operations conducts business in Latin America and China. International Operations offers a wide range of wholesale and retail automotive financing products to dealers and their customers. The strength of the international business lies in its ability to tailor its products to meet unique dealer needs, consumer preferences and national requirements in local markets. Latin American country operations include Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Mexico, and Peru.

Responsibilities

The Compliance Intern is responsible for supporting some of the AML department activities such as uploading files for Bridger monitoring of Real Owner and Shareholders, completing databases for new employees' intake, updating information, among other activities. The Compliance Intern is also responsible for supporting the Data Privacy department activities such as understanding and registering other departments' processes, executing monitoring activities, updating DRIL and performing clean-up activities. The Compliance department is responsible for assisting the company in the management of compliance risk, collaborating with different areas to understand and implement regulatory requirements, facilitating the detection, management, communication and information of matters related to compliance for senior management, and promoting a culture of compliance throughout the organization.

In This Role You Will

- Support Data Privacy & Consumer Protection Intern responsibilities: Privacy Impact Assessment (PIA), monitoring and testing, internal and external communications, administrative tasks.




- Support AML Intern responsibilities: monitoring and testing, creating and maintaining databases, administrative tasks.

Qualifications

- Currently pursuing bachelor in Admin., Business, Economy or related.
- To be 1+ year apart from your graduation date (grad in June 2027-Dec. 2027)
- Availability to work Monday to Friday, from 8am to 3pm.
- Foundational research and analytical skills.
- Ability to recognize patterns and potential issues under supervision.
- Demonstrates good judgment appropriate to experience level.
- Highly effective communication in English (both verbal and written).
- Result driving focus.
- Openness to acquire new knowledge.
- MS Office proficient (Excel, PowerPoint & Word).

Additional Knowledge And Skills

- Working effectively within an AI enabled environment: ability to use AI tools (e.g., Microsoft Copilot) to support daily work.
- Skills in evaluating AI outputs for accuracy, compliance, and bias.
- Experience integrating AI into workflows to improve efficiency or insights.
- Familiarity with AI assisted research, summarization, and content generation.
- Understanding of responsible AI use, including ethics and data protection.
