Eaton’s Corporate Sector division is currently seeking a Global Category Manager - Mechanical Assembly.Eaton announced, on June 11, 2026, the intent to combine its Mobility Group (including both the Vehicle and eMobility segments) with a new company. We expect to complete this process by the end of the first half of 2027. The compensation and benefits that will initially be offered for this position are based on Eaton's plans, programs and practices. If you are offered and accept this position and are actively employed by the Mobility Group when the transaction closes, the new company will provide further details to employees concerning compensation and benefits at that time.What you’ll do:Job SummaryThe Global Category Manager – Mechanical assembly is responsible for developing and executing integral sourcing strategies for Mechanical assemblies supporting Eaton Mobility Group (MG) and Eaton Cummins Joint Venture (ECJV) programs. The role ensures continuity of supply, cost competitiveness, quality performance, and compliance with Eaton procurement policies while supporting both OEM and aftermarket business requirements.Job ResponsibilitiesOwn global category strategy for for Mechanical assemblyLead supplier selection, RFQs, negotiations, and contracting in alignment with Eaton sourcing policies.Manage supplier performance across cost, quality, delivery, and risk metrics.Ensure continuity of supply for Mobility manufacturing plants and aftermarket demand.The metrics to manage and delivery is Cost out, Resiliency, Working capital improvement, and SPIRsTariff ManagmentCollaborate with engineering, quality, operations, and finance teams on sourcing decisions.Support customer requirements related to regional content, compliance, and localization strategies.Manage supplier risks,
capacity planning, and escalation in case of supply disruptions.Support ECJV spend and aftermarket sourcing needs in addition to core Mobility programs.Qualifications:Education Level RequiredBachelor’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Business, or related field.Bilingual English - SpanishYears and Area of Experience RequiredMinimum 6 years of experience in procurement, strategic sourcing, or category management.Experience with automotive or industrial manufacturing supply chains preferred.Technical KnowledgeGlobal sourcing and category management methodologiesRFQ and contract negotiationCost breakdown and productivity analysisSupplier quality and risk managementUnderstanding of mechanical (+electronic) components (casting, machining, PCBA)Soft Skills:Important exposure to senior leadershipManagement of complex external and internal negotiationStrong communication and stakeholder managementNegotiation and influencing skillsAnalytical and problem‑solving mindsetAbility to work in a global, cross‑functional environmentAutonomy and accountabilityAll positions may require participation in video and in-person interviews as part of the hiring process.
