Overview The mission of the product engineer position is to ensure that the information that is delivered to manufacturing meets the requirements of the customer and that it is interpreted correctly for the manufacture and assembly of the product.Responsibilities Be the technical and communication interface between sales, engineering, production, and customers, as required.Design the technical, mechanical, and electrical aspects and tooling for existing and new products.Send approval drawings and approval charts to the customer.Color separation and art creation for membrane overlay jobs as needed.Review the technical requirements of the equipment needed for the engineering department (software, computer workstation specs, image setter Avantra, ripper, etc.).
Create and publish the necessary documents for the manufacture of the product to meet or exceed client requirements.Provide manufacturing support for CNC LED PNP FLEX LAM and other manufacturing processes.Create and send CAD files to cutting stations.Support QA and production with technical drawings, documentation, and aspects of BOMs, process sheets, and translations as required.Supervise assigned personnel and guide Jr.Product Engineer tasks as needed.Participate in production meetings when necessary.Engage in continuous improvement using performance indicators (OTD, IHR, scrap, cost reduction projects, RMA reduction) as metrics.Support internal or external audits of quality systems and assist with corrective actions as needed.Participate in cross-training as necessary.Qualifications Education: Engineering or bachelor's degree completed, or equivalent.Experience: 2 years in a similar position.Language: English desirable.Teamwork: Favorable disposition to think and work collectively.Working under pressure: Ability to act and work in varied situations with diverse people or groups.Problem solving and decision making: Ability to identify, analyze,
