Detailed Description of the Project
Project Objective
Enable a secure, resilient, and efficient digital working environment within Operational Technology (OT) environments by reducing cybersecurity risks that could impact safety, production, and plant operations, while supporting innovation and regulatory compliance across plants.
Challenges for the Student
Alignment with global processes, collaboration with multicultural teams from more than 20 countries, exposure to new technologies, and gaining an understanding of plant operations and operational teams.
Main Responsibilities and Activities to Be Carried Out
Supporting the Cyber OT Program, the intern may participate in the following activities:
Align OT cybersecurity practices with global standards and internal policies.
• Evaluate and support the implementation of cybersecurity controls.
• Support governance adoption across plants.
• Maintain and manage OT cybersecurity risk registers.
• Support OT asset inventory and its integration with asset management processes.
• Coordinate vulnerability management activities suitable for OT environments.
• Promote secure change management practices for OT systems.
• Support the enablement of threat detection, intrusion detection, and threat intelligence for OT environments.
• Develop and deliver OT cybersecurity awareness initiatives.
Specific Requirements / Qualifications
Skills, Competencies, and/or Knowledge Required
Academic background related to:
Information Technology
Cybersecurity
Systems Engineering
Computer Science
Industrial Engineering or related fields
Intermediate to advanced English proficiency
Understanding of information technology concepts
Strong interest in cybersecurity
Effective communication skills to support teamwork, coordination, and reporting
Ability to work with documentation, spreadsheets, and presentations
High attention to detail
Willingness to learn and receive guidance
Responsible handling of sensitive and confidential information
Ability to track action items and deadlines, with strong task prioritization skills
