Job Title: SAP Cloud ERP – Project Systems (PS) Consultant.

Location: Remote in LATAM with occasional travel to USA.

Start Date: ASAP.

Length: 6 months

· As a Project Systems (PS) Consultant, you will play a key role in the design, configuration, and implementation of enterprise project structures across all project types supported in SAP Cloud ERP — from overhead and R&D; projects through capital investment and engineer-to-order scenarios — ensuring that project cost collection, budget management, procurement integration, and project settlement deliver the financial visibility and project control our customers need to manage their projects and capital investments effectively.

· Adecuado candidates have deep hands-on experience configuring enterprise project structures in SAP Cloud ERP, a strong command of the functional scope and constraints specific to SAP Cloud ERP Public Edition’s project management capabilities, and the ability to work fluently across the Finance, Controlling, Asset Accounting, Procurement, and Sales integrations that make project-driven business processes complete and financially sound.

Primary Responsibilities:

· Lead the design, configuration, and implementation of Project Systems (PS) / Enterprise Portfolio and Project Management (EPPM) processes in SAP Cloud ERP for customers across different industries and project scenarios.

· Receive and review the Digital Discovery Assessment (DDA) delivered by the Presales Architect and use it as the baseline for Project Systems scope definition, project type selection, and Fit-to-Standard workshop planning.

· Participate in and lead Fit-to-Standard workshops for the Project Systems / EPPM Line of Business, documenting customer requirements, project type decisions, process decisions, and functional gaps in SAP Cloud ALM.

· Design the enterprise project structure for each customer implementation: project type selection (Overhead, Investment, Revenue, or Statistical), project profile configuration, WBS coding mask setup, project status management, and WBS hierarchy design aligned with the customer’s organizational structure, cost reporting needs, and capital or revenue project scenarios.

· Configure Overhead Project scenarios: project structure for internal administrative, R&D;, and maintenance projects, cost collection on WBS elements, overhead allocation, and settlement to cost centers or other cost receivers.

· Configure Investment Project (Capital Project) scenarios: WBS-to-Asset-Under-Construction (AuC) assignment, investment measure configuration, budget availability control for capital expenditure, settlement rules from investment WBS elements to AuC and to final productive assets in Asset Accounting, and integration with the Fixed Assets process.

· Configure Projects with Revenue (Engineer-to-Order and customer-facing project) scenarios: WBS billing element definition, integration with sales orders for project-related revenue, project stock management for material-intensive project scenarios, and integration with production processes where applicable.

· Configure Project Demands as the primary mechanism for project-integrated procurement and staffing in SAP Cloud ERP Public Edition — replacing the Network Activities approach of on-premise PS: demand type configuration, purchase requisition generation from project demands for external procurement, material reservation management, and staffing request integration.

· Configure project budget management: budget assignment at WBS element and project level, budget availability control tolerance settings (warning vs. hard stop), budget rollup across WBS hierarchies, and budget monitoring and reporting.

· Configure project settlement rules across all applicable project types:



settlement from overhead WBS elements to cost centers, from investment WBS elements to AuC and final productive assets, and from revenue project WBS elements to CO Margin Analysis receivers, in close coordination with the CO consultant’s overall settlement and profitability design.

· Configure milestone management: milestone definition at project header and WBS element level, and milestone-to-billing integration for project-based billing plans in sales-integrated project scenarios.

· Ensure seamless integration between Project Systems and Controlling (CO) for project cost collection, budget availability control, and period-end settlement; Financial Accounting and Asset Accounting (FI/AA) for capital investment and AuC management; Materials Management (MM) for project-assigned procurement and project stock; and Sales and Distribution (SD) for project-related revenue and billing.

· Coordinate closely with the CO consultant on WBS settlement design, project cost reporting, and period-end closing; and with the Service OTC consultant on WBS billing element configuration and project billing scenarios in service-centric implementations.

· Work closely with business users, Project Controllers, Finance, Capital Planning, Operations, and Procurement teams to understand requirements and translate them into SAP Cloud ERP standard solutions; define resolution approaches for functional gaps through configuration, key-user adaptations, or SAP BTP-based extensions, avoiding custom development.

· Lead functional testing and UAT planning and execution for Project Systems processes in coordination with the customer’s project management and finance teams.

· Support data migration and cutover activities for PS-relevant master data, including project structures, WBS element hierarchies, budget assignments, open project cost balances, and asset-under-construction balances from the customer’s legacy system to SAP Cloud ERP.

· Assist in SAP Cloud ERP transformation and migration projects, supporting customers transitioning from any ERP platform to SAP Cloud ERP.

· Coordinate 3rd party vendors/partners project resources, workload distribution, and day-to-day coordination of 3rd party consultant teams throughout the implementation lifecycle where applicable.

· Follow SAP Activate Methodology practices, including Fit-to-Standard, Data Migration, and Testing workstreams, and maintain proper documentation in SAP Cloud ALM throughout all project phases.

· Work closely with presales architects and sales representatives during the presales process, contributing to project estimations and solution scoping.

· Provide post-go-live hypercare support, end-user training, and continuous process improvement recommendations for Project Systems and EPPM processes.

Requirements

· 3+ years of hands-on experience as an SAP Project Systems (PS) / Enterprise Portfolio and Project Management (EPPM) consultant, with specific experience in SAP Cloud ERP (formerly SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition) implementations.

· Demonstrated hands-on experience in full end-to-end SAP Cloud ERP implementations or migrations, specifically covering the Project Systems / EPPM Line of Business.

· Deep understanding of enterprise project types in SAP Cloud ERP Public Edition and their appropriate use cases: Overhead Projects, Investment Projects (Capital Projects), Projects with Revenue (Engineer-to-Order / customer-facing),



and Statistical Projects.

· Hands-on configuration experience with enterprise project structures in SAP Cloud ERP: project profile setup, WBS coding mask configuration, project status management, WBS hierarchy design, and project header and WBS element master data management.

· Demonstrated understanding that SAP Cloud ERP Public Edition does not support Network Activities as in on-premise PS implementations, and the ability to design solutions using Project Demands as the primary mechanism for project-integrated procurement and staffing.

· Hands-on configuration experience with Investment Project (Capital Project) scenarios: WBS-to-Asset-Under-Construction (AuC) assignment, investment measure configuration, capital expenditure budget availability control, and settlement rules from investment WBS elements to AuC and final productive assets in Asset Accounting.

· Experience configuring Project Demands for project-integrated procurement and staffing: demand type configuration, purchase requisition generation from project demands, and material reservation management for project stock scenarios.

· Experience configuring project budget management: WBS-level budget assignment, budget availability control tolerance settings, and budget monitoring and reporting.

· Experience configuring project settlement rules across project types: settlement to cost centers (overhead projects), to AuC and final assets (investment projects), and to CO Margin Analysis or profit center receivers (revenue projects).

· Experience configuring milestone management and milestone-to-billing plan integration for project-based sales scenarios.

· Hands-on configuration experience with SAP Central Business Configuration for Project Systems / EPPM processes.

· Knowledge of SAP Activate Methodology and Fit-to-Standard workshop participation for the Project Systems / EPPM Line of Business.

· Proficiency in SAP Cloud ALM for requirements documentation, open item tracking, and test management.

· Strong understanding of the integration between Project Systems and Controlling (CO), Financial Accounting and Asset Accounting (FI/AA), Materials Management (MM), and Sales and Distribution (SD) within SAP Cloud ERP.

· Excellent workshop facilitation, requirements gathering, and process documentation skills.

· Proficiency in MS Office Applications: Excel, Word, PPT.

· Remote role with occasional travel if required. Up to 30% travel is expected.

· Problem solving, attention to detail, and critical thinking skills.

· Excellent time management and organizational skills.

· Active visa that allows them to travel to the USA.

Preferred Qualifications

· SAP Certified Associate – SAP S/4HANA Portfolio and Project Management (C_S4PPM_2021).

· PMP (Project Management Professional) certification is a plus given the project-management-intensive nature of this role.

· Bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering, project management, business administration, finance, or an IT related field.

· +8 years of experience in ERP software solutions.

· Experience supporting customers in migrations from any ERP platform to SAP Cloud ERP.

· Experience with Engineer-to-Order (ETO) project scenarios involving project stock, production order integration, and multi-level WBS billing structures.

· Experience with Capital Expenditure (CapEx) project implementations in industries such as manufacturing, real estate, utilities, or infrastructure.

· Familiarity with SAP Project and Resource Management on SAP BTP for advanced resource staffing and availability management in enterprise projects.

Languages
