Position Description

We’re seeking a detail-oriented, proactive, and resourceful individual to join our Servicing and Collections team as a Collections Specialist. This role focuses on managing delinquent accounts and handling the escalation process directly with law firms in hopes of avoiding collections litigation. Some cases must inevitably go to collections litigation; this person would identify these cases and oversee the process.

The idóneo candidate will work directly with clients to understand past-due accounts, push for resolution, and send legal demand letters when needed, without compromising the existing and future relationship. This role requires strong communication skills and attention to detail, and the ability to make sound decisions.

Responsibilities

- Handle accounts that need escalation before sending to collections agencies or attorneys
- Draft and send legal demand letters and escalation notices
- Call customers to understand why accounts are past due and work toward a resolution
- Set up payment plans or push for full payment when possible
- Find updated contact info using skip-tracing tools and databases
- Keep clear notes of all calls, emails, and account activity
- Review accounts and supporting documents to prepare for possible legal action
- Work with internal teams to move accounts through the escalation process
- Prioritize accounts based on urgency and balance
- Follow company procedures and compliance requirements

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

- Reliable laptop with 16GB+ RAM
- High-speed internet (60 Mbps or higher)
- C1–C2 English proficiency
- STRONG ATTENTION TO DETAIL
- Ability to handle high-volume accounts and prioritized workload without sacrificing ATTENTION TO DETAIL.

Preferred Qualifications:

- A dedicated and quiet workspace
- Second monitor and noise-canceling headphones




- Licensed attorney in Mexico
- Experience in B2B collections, ideally with a U.S. company
- Experience drafting legal letters or formal notices
- Prior experience with skip tracing tools and legal databases (Lexis Nexis or Similar)
- Familiarity with US Court Dockets
- Understanding of the US litigation process in the personal injury space
- Strong communication and negotiation skills
- Prior experience working in Personal Injury

Compensation

$9 to $11.50 USD per hour; DOE
