Job Purpose
Lead projects, along with internal departments and external vendors to automate trade compliance , monitoring process , auditing , information centralization , trade automation certification , and trade transaction data accuracy to mitigate risk across all business locations.
Main Functions & Responsabilities
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including finance and operation to ensure compliance with trade requirements
- Implement KPIs to measure operation and compliance efficiency
- Supervise IMMEX monthly to ensure compliance with Annex 24 and Annex 30
- Monitors and manages regulatory changes in general customs legislation, provide updated and guidance to internal teams
- Participate in the integration of the company's ERP system with the Annex 24 inventory control system to ensure a smooth and accurate flow of data
- Provide support to the Manager (or ) Director of trade compliance in the execution of strategies to optimize customs and compliance process in order to reduce costs and operational risks
- Ensure legal compliance with trade laws and regulations. Including proper licensing for the entry and exit of merchandise from all business locations.
- Monitors the performance of customs broker and other business partners related to trade compliance to maintain strong relationships that ensure efficient customs operations
- Development and implementation of trade compliance programs and procedures for import and export regulatory compliance for all sites
- Participate in the administration of the OEA & CTPAT organization's supply chain security programs for all sites
- Conduct audits to verify compliance with import and export transactions , ensuring accurate declarations and identifying discrepancies
- Develop and implement SOPs and instructions for standardizing processes across all sites
- Implement and monitors risk mitigation plans at all sides
- Assists and supports customs audits by Mexican and U.S federal authorities
Basic Requirements
- Bachelors degree in International Business, Foreign Trade, Logistcs, or related
- 3-5 years of experience in Customs, Foreign trade or trade compliance
- Hands-on experience managing IMMEX program operations
- Strong knowledge of annex 24 & 30
- Conversational english
