Position Title: ELIGIBILITY AND AUTHORIZATION SPECIALIST

JOB SUMMARY

The Eligibility and Authorization Specialist supports the revenue cycle by ensuring patients are financially cleared prior to receiving services. This role is responsible for verifying insurance coverage, identifying and resolving potential coverage issues, and collaborating with payers and internal teams to minimize claim denials and billing delays.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES

- Review and verify patient insurance eligibility, registration accuracy, and benefit information; identify and resolve coverage discrepancies, coordinate benefits when multiple insurance plans exist, and ensure patients are financially cleared prior to scheduled services.
- Contact insurance carriers by phone and/or through payer web portals to obtain and verify eligibility, benefits, authorization requirements, and other coverage-related information.
- Collaborate with internal departments while following payer guidelines to support accurate, timely, and compliant insurance verification and authorization processes.
- Assist with onboarding and training new employees by providing guidance on department workflows, best practices,



and quality standards while supporting continuous process improvement initiatives.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS and REQUIREMENTS:

· Bachelors Degree in related field, or equivalent work experience

· 100% English

· Ability to manage computers, Outlook, Excel, computer systems, etc.

· Strong communication, both written and verbal

· Great active listening skills

· Exceptional interpersonal and rapport building skills

· A patient and empathetic attitude

· Strong time management and organizational skills

· Adaptability and flexibility

· Comfortable working in fast-paced environments

· Computer literacy

· Phone skills, including familiarity with complex or multi-line phone systems

JOB SPECIFICATIONS:

· Independent Contractor hiring

· Bi-weekly payments

· Pay will be on a per-work-day basis at $720 mxn
