Manager – NoLA Payroll

Johnson Controls, a integral leader in thermal management and building systems, is seeking a Manager, NoLA Payroll to lead payroll operations across Mexico, Costa Rica, and Peru.

Key Responsibilities

- Payroll Operations Delivery
- Oversee end-to-end payroll processing using Workday, People Net, UKG and Softland.
- Manage payroll cycles, validations, reconciliations, and approvals.
- Ensure accurate processing of earnings, deductions, and statutory requirements.
- Compliance & Governance
- Maintain knowledge of payroll regulations in Mexico, Costa Rica and Peru.
- Ensure compliance with statutory requirements and internal controls.
- Partner with Legal, HR, and Finance to mitigate risks.
- Vendor & Stakeholder Management
- Manage payroll vendors and ensure SLA adherence.
- Partner with HR and Finance leaders across the region.
- Leadership & Team Development
- Lead and develop a regional payroll team.
- Provide guidance on payroll processes and compliance.
- Continuous Improvement & Transformation
- Drive process improvements and standardization.
- Optimize Workday, People Net,



and Softland usage.
- Reporting & Financial Partnership
- Deliver KPIs and payroll insights.
- Support finance with accruals and reconciliations.

Qualifications

- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, HR or related field.
- 7+ years payroll experience, including LATAM.
- 3+ years leadership experience.
- Experience with Workday, People Net, UKG, and/or Softland.
- Fluency in Spanish and English.
- Experience in multinational companies (preferred).
