About The Job We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Business Analyst / Product Owner to join our team. The idóneo candidate will work closely with scrum teams, product stakeholders, and delivery managers to ensure business requirements are well-defined, backlogs are properly maintained, and delivery runs smoothly.

This role requires a blend of analytical skills, strong communication, and the ability to operate independently across BA/PO, and at times very light Scrum Master responsibilities. This is a technically oriented BA role. Rather than standard UI-facing BA work, the focus is on non-UI and systems integration efforts, including interfaces between clinical and enterprise systems.

Candidates do not need to be deeply technical engineers, but they should be comfortable working with integration concepts, data flows, and technical stakeholders; a traditional BA without this background may find the role challenging.

Key Responsibilities

- Write clear and detailed user stories and acceptance criteria based on stakeholder needs and business goals, and communicate requirements effectively in a fast-paced Agile environment.
- Define and document requirements for non-UI and integration-focused work, including system-to-system interfaces, data exchange, and API-based (point-to-point) integrations.
- Provide clear business requirements and respond to clarifying questions from developers, quality engineers, and delivery managers to remove blockers and facilitate efficient development.
- Break down complex business requirements into smaller, actionable issues completable within a two-week sprint cadence.
- Coordinate with stakeholders and Quality Assurance teams to define UAT plans and represent requirements as user stories with clear acceptance criteria.
- Keep documentation organized and current in compliance with the Software Development Life Cycle.
- Lead requirement gathering workshops with key business stakeholders and application users,



covering business processes, workflows, business and technical requirements, legacy systems, and application mapping.
- Work with engineering to continuously build, refine, and prioritize project team backlogs.

Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in a life science, computer science, technology, mathematics, engineering, or a related discipline.
- 2+ years of experience as a Product Owner, Product Analyst, Business Analyst, Technical Analyst, or Associate Product Manager in a software or technically oriented business environment.

Preferred Qualifications
- It would be nice but not mandatory for the candidate to have EMR integrations, HL7 messaging standards, and API point-to-point integrations.
- 4+ years of prior work experience in an information technology role or in a computer software engineering role.
- 1+ years working in a life sciences environment and/or with software products developed for Quality or Clinical Laboratory processes.
- Experience translating customer needs/feature requests into detailed technical specifications.
- Professional experience in Agile information technology and/or software engineering.
- Familiarity with Jira, Confluence, Balsamiq.
- Strong analytical, technical, problem solving and organizational skills.
- Proven time management and organization skills.
- Demonstrated history of successfully meeting deadlines, prioritizing workload, and handling multiple competing complex projects simultaneously.
- Strong listening, communication and interpersonal skills in verbal and written form.
- History of collaborating within cross-functional teams and building strong relationships across functional areas within an organization.
- Proactive, able to anticipate challenges before they arise.
- History of self-organizing, effective operations without significant day-to-day oversight.
- Ability to perform careful, detail-oriented work under deadline pressure.
- Understanding of HIPAA and the importance of privacy of patient data.
