Together, we are building a better world, so we can all enjoy living in it.Role DefinitionOversees the manufacturing process for welded structures by utilizing appropriate technologies, tools, and equipment.ResponsibilitiesInspect and resolve defects in workpieces using various technologies, tools, and equipment.Adhere to quality assurance policies and procedures to ensure workpieces are fabricated according to specifications and instructions.Design and/or maintain manufacturing processes for welding metal parts together in required configurations.Apply expertise in manual and automated welding systems to safely and accurately fabricate high-quality metal structures.EducationBachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, or equivalent.Intermediate English proficiency.Skill DescriptorsDecision Making and Critical ThinkingKnowledge of decision-making processes and related tools; ability to accurately analyze situations and make effective decisions based on sound judgment.Demonstrates values of integrity, excellence, strong communication, commitment, teamwork, and a high level of customer service.Manufacturing ProcessesKnowledge of current manufacturing methods, technologies, and processes; ability to execute, plan, manage,
and monitor the entire manufacturing process.Experience with robotics and/or autonomous solutions demonstrating deep technical expertise.Strong understanding of software engineering principles and processes.Identify, contact, and negotiate with external suppliers of machinery, tools, spare parts, and consumables.Analyze engineering change notices, determine required part or process modifications, initiate and implement changes related to the automated processes under responsibility.Respond directly to customer complaints or inquiries and implement necessary process improvements.Problem SolvingExplain the value of a disciplined approach to problem-solving.Describe problem reporting and escalation procedures.Apply established methods for problem analysis and resolution.Identify key problem-solving techniques relevant to the area of responsibility.Top CandidatesCertified Welding Inspector (CWI) certification preferred.Additional InformationSanta Catarina Plant.Monday to Friday, 6:24 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.Availability to work weekends.Availability to travel up to 10%.
