Role Description

This full-time remote role is for a Spanish Medical Interpreter with free training provided. The interpreter will facilitate clear, accurate, and impartial communication between Spanish-speaking patients and healthcare professionals in a variety of medical settings, primarily over phone or video. Daily tasks include interpreting medical histories,



treatment plans, and consent information, ensuring that all parties understand complex medical terminology and procedures.

The role also involves adhering to professional ethical standards, maintaining confidentiality, and accurately documenting interpreted encounters as required. The interpreter will use company-provided platforms and training resources, participate in ongoing skill development, and collaborate with internal teams to support high-quality language services.

Qualifications

- Strong skills in Medical Interpretation and Interpreting between Spanish and English, with the ability to convey messages accurately and neutrally.
- Knowledge of Medical Terminology and Simultaneous Interpretation techniques for clinical and hospital environments.
- Ability to perform basic Translation tasks related to medical documentation when needed.
- Fluency in spoken and written Spanish and English, with clear pronunciation and professional communication style.
- High level of cultural sensitivity, confidentiality, and adherence to medical ethics and privacy regulations (e.g., HIPAA where applicable).
- Reliable internet connection and comfort working with remote interpreting platforms and cloud-based systems.
- Previous experience in healthcare, customer service, or community interpreting is beneficial; formal interpreter training or certification is a plus (training provided for qualified candidates).
- Ability to work full time, manage scheduled shifts, and remain calm and focused in urgent or emotionally sensitive medical encounters.
