Job Description

This role is focused on a senior backend engineer who can architect, build, and operate scalable, highly available backend platforms and APIs.

- Designing large-scale, high-availability backend systems
- Event-driven architecture
- Scalability, reliability, and performance engineering

Programming Languages

Elixir (mandatory) — 2+ years of production experience

Strong backend development experience (8+ years overall)

API Technologies

- REST APIs
- GraphQL
- gRPC
- Ability to select the appropriate API paradigm based on requirements
- AWS (required)
- Docker
- Production deployment, monitoring, and scaling

Data & Messaging

- Database performance optimization
- Caching strategies
- Kafka (hands-on experience at scale)

Observability & Reliability

- DataDog
- Monitoring
- Alerting

DevSecOps

- Automated testing
- Security integration throughout SDLC

Security

- Access control




- Encryption and data protection

Primary Responsibilities

- Architect and build strategic backend services
- Define technical roadmap and architecture directionEstablish observability and reliability standards
- Drive DevSecOps and engineering best practices
- Collaborate across product, engineering, and infrastructure teams
