: Trade Marketing Specialist – LATAM (Automotive)
- Job Purpose The Trade Marketing Specialist (LATAM) will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing regional trade marketing strategies and on-ground brand activations across key markets in Latin America. Acting as the critical bridge between the Global Brand Management team and LATAM Country Sales teams, this role ensures integral brand standards are effectively localized for regional channels and consumer touchpoints.
The ideal candidate will manage regional advertising and promotion (A&P;) budgets, direct agency partners, and drive high-impact marketing initiatives to elevate brand awareness and market share.
- Key Responsibilities
Campaign Execution & Trade Activation
- Plan and execute regional BTL (Below-The-Line) activations, merchandising programs, dealer/trade shows, exhibitions, and field marketing events.
- Support local product launches in line with country-specific automotive roll-out plans.
- Ensure consistent brand positioning and visual identity across all trade and retail touchpoints.
Budget Management & Operations
- Manage regional A&P; budgets, quarterly forecasts, purchase orders (POs), and invoice approvals.
- Partner closely with Finance and Business Partners to ensure timely vendor payments and clear budget tracking.
Agency & Vendor Management
- Manage day-to-day relationships with regional external partners (Creative, BTL, Digital, Media, PR, and Market Research agencies).
- Brief, evaluate, and hold agencies accountable for project timelines, deliverables, and ROI.
Stakeholder Coordination & Alignment
- Serve as the primary liaison between Brand Marketing teams and regional Sales teams to align local market needs with global brand strategies.
- Collaborate with sales teams to develop actionable, channel-specific trade marketing toolkits.
Consumer Insights & Brand Performance
- Monitor automotive market trends, competitor trade initiatives, and regional consumer behavior.
- Partner with market research agencies to generate insights that inform trade strategy.
- Track and report on key brand metrics including Brand Awareness, Activation Reach, Market Share, and Campaign ROI.
3. Candidate Profile & Requirements
Experience
- 3–5 years of progressive trade marketing, brand activation, or channel marketing experience.
- Prior experience in Automotive, Consumer Durables, FMCG, or Consumer Goods is required (Automotive experience strongly preferred).
- Proven track record in managing agency relationships and handling promotional budgets.
Education
- Essential: Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Communications, or a related field.
- Preferred: Master's Degree or MBA in Business / Marketing from a recognized institution.
- MUST HAVE - The applicant should be fluent in English speaking
Competencies & Skills
- Functional Expertise: Strong understanding of trade marketing, B2C marketing principles, BTL campaigns, and channel strategy.
- Analytical & Budgeting: Proficient in budget planning, PO management, campaign tracking, and data-driven reporting.
- Communication & Cultural Agility: Excellent presentation and stakeholder management skills with a strong global mindset for cross-cultural communication (Latin America exposure is a plus).
- Travel Requirement: Willingness to travel up to 10% regionally/globally as required.

- Internal: Export Business Unit, Regional LATAM Sales Teams, Brand & Marketing Management, Finance / Finance Business Partners, Business Planning & Network Market Development (NMD).
- External: External Agencies (Creative, Digital, Media, BTL, PR, Market Research), Regional Event Organizers, and Trade Partners.
