About the Role

Position resides in the Americas Regional Cement Procurement Organization and is responsible for providing Purchasing support for business areas across the Americas. The role is part of a team of buyers supporting regional purchasing activities within a cross‑functional procurement team.

Responsibilities

- Obtain pricing for proposals.
- Place purchase orders.
- Obtain order confirmation.
- Perform other purchasing‑related activities.
- Support regional purchasing activities within the cross‑functional procurement team.

Qualifications

- Previous buying experience preferred, 2 to 4 years.
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management or Business preferred; equivalent experience acceptable.
- Knowledge of cement equipment preferred.
- Sense of urgency, proactive, customer‑driven, motivated.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and strong time‑management skills.
- Pleasant demeanor, good with co‑workers, calm under high‑pressure situations.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Organization and prioritization skills based on appropriate requirements.




- Knowledge of Oracle‑based and Microsoft applications, data spreadsheets, and data analysis.
- Understanding of procurement process, vendor selection, and order placement.
- Knowledge of or understanding of bill of materials, commercial and technical knowledge in offer evaluations.
- Blueprint reading desirable.
- Experience with international suppliers is a plus.
- Excellent coordination skills.
- Strong spoken and written English skills required.
