BIM Coordinator
Operations | BIM/VDC
Are you ready to take full ownership of BIM coordination and move beyond model production?
We are looking for an experienced BIM Coordinator to lead electrical BIM workflows across complex construction projects. This role is designed for someone who can confidently manage coordination cycles, lead clash detection, guide BIM Modelers, and ensure that every deliverable is accurate, constructable, and ready for field installation.
You will act as the day-to-day BIM point of contact for assigned projects, working closely with project managers, field leadership, prefabrication teams, designers, general contractors, and trade partners.
What You’ll Be Responsible For
- Lead BIM coordination and project-specific workflows from project setup through final delivery
- Manage clash detection, issue tracking, and multidisciplinary coordination using Navisworks
- Maintain BIM Execution Plans, project goals, LOD requirements, standards, timelines, and deliverables
- Lead internal BIM meetings and coordination sessions with general contractors, designers, field teams, and other trades
- Review electrical models for accuracy, constructability, completeness, and compliance with BIM standards
- Coordinate with field and prefabrication teams to produce installation-ready models and spool packages
- Monitor project progress, identify constraints, and escalate risks before they affect delivery
- Delegate modeling assignments and provide direction to BIM Modelers
- Mentor team members on coordination practices, technical standards, and QA/QC expectations
- Maintain organized Revit models, project folders, naming conventions, and controlled documentation
What We’re Looking For
- 3+ years of BIM/VDC experience,
including hands-on project coordination responsibilities
- Advanced English communication skills and confidence leading coordination meetings
- Advanced proficiency in Revit, including worksets, families, view templates, schedules, project setup, and model organization
- Strong experience with Navisworks and clash detection workflows
- Proficiency with Autodesk Construction Cloud, AutoCAD, and Bluebeam
- Solid knowledge of electrical systems, MEP coordination, constructability, and 3D trade coordination
- Experience managing model updates, coordination cycles, deadlines, and project deliverables
- Strong understanding of BIM Execution Plans, QA/QC procedures, BIM standards, and document control
- Proven leadership, delegation, organization, and problem-solving skills
- Degree in Construction Management, Architecture, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience
Experience That Will Set You Apart
- Electrical construction or electrical contractor experience
- Data center, healthcare, mission-critical, industrial, or similarly complex project experience
- BIM-to-prefabrication integration and prefab-ready deliverables
- Autodesk Professional Certification in Revit or Navisworks
- Familiarity with Dynamo or BIM automation tools
- Knowledge of ISO 19650 standards
Why This Role Matters
This is not a modeling-only position. Your coordination decisions will directly influence how efficiently projects are built, how quickly conflicts are resolved, and how confidently field teams can execute the work.
This opportunity is adecuado for a BIM Coordinator who is ready to take greater ownership, lead project teams, and become a key contributor to the successful delivery of complex electrical construction projects.
