I’m helping Ritehaul Logistics find a top candidate to join their team full-time for the role of Dispatcher - Contenedores en Miami, FL .
You'll optimize fleet productivity and streamline container logistics through strategic dispatching.
Compensation:
USD 500 - 800/month
+ Bonuses (up to 5% of base compensation)

Remote (anywhere)

What makes you a strong candidate:
- You have +2 years experience in Dispatch coordination.
- You are proficient in Transportation management system, Dispatch planning.
- English - Conversational
- Spanish - Fully fluent
Responsibilities and more:
Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years of experience dispatching container drayage trucks in the United States.
- Experience with Port of Miami, Port Everglades, or similar marine terminals preferred.
- Strong understanding of container logistics, terminal appointments, empty returns, pre-pulls, demurrage, and per diem.
- Experience using a TMS (PortPro experience is a plus).
- Ability to coordinate 20+ drivers while maintaining high service levels.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills under pressure.
- Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Fluent Spanish is required.
- Intermediate to advanced English (written and spoken).
- Stable high-speed internet connection.
- Quiet home office suitable for phone calls and meetings.
- Available to work Monday–Friday during U.S. Eastern Time business hours.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, Microsoft Teams, and WhatsApp.
Responsibilities:
- Build and manage daily dispatch plans for company drivers.
- Maximize fleet productivity by planning drivers for two local moves per day whenever feasible.
- Schedule and coordinate terminal appointments.
- Plan pre-pulls for next-day highway deliveries.
- Monitor driver progress throughout the day and proactively resolve operational issues.
- Coordinate with customer service regarding appointment availability and customer commitments.
- Minimize empty miles and maximize revenue-producing moves.
- Monitor container Last Free Days (LFDs) to avoid unnecessary storage charges.
- Ensure empty containers are returned promptly to prevent per diem.
- Communicate with terminals, warehouses, customers, and drivers as needed.
- Reassign loads and adjust routes when operational conditions change.
- Maintain accurate load statuses and notes in the TMS.
- Escalate operational issues before they impact customer service.
- Work closely with the Operations Manager to improve fleet utilization and service quality.
- Identify opportunities to improve dispatch efficiency and operational processes.

- Drivers consistently complete productive daily schedules.
- Minimal missed appointments.
- Reduced demurrage and per diem charges.
- High on-time pickup and delivery performance.
- Drivers spend less time waiting and more time generating revenue.
- Dispatch decisions are proactive instead of reactive.
- Clear communication with drivers, customers, and internal staff.
- Accurate and timely updates in the TMS.
Bonus Qualifications:
- Experience with PortPro.
- Experience dispatching 20–50 trucks.
- Knowledge of Miami port operations.
- Experience with EMODAL, Silo, or terminal appointment systems.
- Familiarity with FMCSA Hours of Service regulations.
- Previous experience as a container truck driver is a strong plus.
