In this role, you will support accurate and timely customs processes that directly impact on‐time deliveries for our manufacturing plants across multiple sites in Northern Mexico.
You will collaborate closely with cross‐functional partners to maintain compliance, streamline operations, and ensure uninterrupted flow of materials within our IMMEX operations.
**JOB DUTIES**:
- Manage monthly uploads of Item Master data and Bills of Materials into Intrade and customs software.
- Conduct BOM audits to verify Units of Measure, conversion factors, HS codes, system movements, and correct BOM assignments.
- Maintain accurate customs entry modules and ensure alignment with SAAI and regulatory systems.
- Validate DS records against Annex 24 to maintain accurate inventory control.
- Execute monthly Annex 24 discharges (Backflush) and reconcile inventory records.
- Upload Annex 30 Backflush information to SAT SCCCyG within required timelines.
- Monitor cloud‐based databases daily to ensure full compliance with Annex 24C requirements.
- Support Annex 24 import/export processes, including handling manual discharges as needed.
- Complete weekly closure of consolidated customs entries (pedimentos).
- Review raw materials weekly to identify non‐discharged items and resolve discrepancies.
- Prepare and validate discharge reports for scrap shipments.
- Manage manual discharges for regularizations, regime changes, and equipment documentation.
- Control the length of stay for temporarily imported goods under IMMEX regulations.
- Evaluate applicability of FTAs, Regla Octava, and PROSEC programs to optimize duty savings.
- Work with classification and origin teams to obtain and validate USMCA Certificates of Origin.
- Process and track automatic compliance notices for steel products.
- Audit site databases to identify missing import/export operations and ensure complete documentation.
- Maintain data integrity across customs platforms and databases.Utilize customs software tools related to Annex 24; familiarity with these tools is considered an advantage.
**MUST HAVES**:
- Minimum 2 years of experience in customs compliance within an IMMEX environment.
- Intermediate English proficiency, with the ability to communicate effectively in professional settings.
- Solid knowledge of Mexican Customs Law, IMMEX Decree, IVA‐IEPS Certification, and applicable trade regulations.
- Hands‐on experience working with Annex 24 inventory control processes.Demonstrated ability to perform successfully in fast‐paced, deadline‐driven environments.
