About the Role
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and manage the procurement of materials and components from both domestic and international suppliers
- Interpret technical specifications and engineering drawings to ensure accurate purchasing
- Maintain and control optimal inventory levels aligned with business goals and demand fluctuations
- Collaborate closely with planning and production teams to ensure material availability, and timely order fulfillment
- Monitor and develop strategies for the management of merchandise/waste, materials and obsolete supplies stored for disposal.
- Direct material availability (allocation) to production scheduling teams to recognize build/ship dates for orders to stores
- Lead the component elimination process and manage inventory transitions
- Update and manage purchasing data within the ERP system, including stock levels and lead times
- Support RMA processing,



price variance tracking, and resolution of import/logistics issues
- Track and manage backlog of freight lost cost and delays from suppliers
- Coordinate trade reviews with vendors and communicate packaging, delivery, and requirement changes
- Work with engineering and quality teams to resolve non-conformance issues, supplier discrepancies, and material substitutions
- Maintain policies and propose strategies that support company objectives and operational improvements
**Qualifications**:
- Minimum 5 years of experience in purchasing, planning, or supply chain management
- Fluent English (spoken and written) is required
- Proven ability to work with & understand engineering drawings and technical documentation
- Solid understanding of electrical and mechanical components and BOM structures
- Hands-on experience working with ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite, SAP, etc.)
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Experience with international purchasing, logistics coordination, and vendor negotiations
- Ability to collaborate cross-functionally with teams including engineering, quality, and operations
- Background in manufacturing or technical product environments preferred
