The Project Engineer is responsible for delivering cloud migration and deployment projects frominitial scoping through execution and closeout.
This is a hands‐on, client‐facing engineering role focused on designing, implementing, and documenting secure, cloud‐first environments using Microsoft technologies.
The role requires strong technical ownership, clear communication, and the ability to manage multiple projects across different client environments.
Responsibilities
Lead and execute cloud migration projects, including Azure and Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) implementations
Design, plan, and deploy cloud‐first environments that balance performance, security, and cost efficiency
Configure identity, access, networking, and firewall components for project environments
Serve as the technical lead for projects across multiple client environments
Collaborate with account managers and service desk teams to ensure successful project delivery




Maintain detailed and accurate project documentation following established SOPs
Ensure projects are completed on time, within scope, and within budget
Apply security best practices and risk‐awareness throughout project execution
Requirements
3–5 years of experience in a Project Engineer, Systems Engineer, or similar role
Proven experience delivering Azure migrations and Azure Virtual Desktop deployments
Experience with Microsoft 365 integrations
Strong knowledge of identity and access management, including Entra ID and EntraDomain Services
Solid understanding of networking concepts, including firewall configurations
Experience with backup and disaster recovery planning
Strong verbal and written English communication skills for client‐facing work
Ability to work independently, manage priorities, and take ownership of technical projects
